Free demo vs. the API

The free demo is for evaluation — check a domain by hand and see the result. When you need to check domains from your own code, at scale, that's the API: an authenticated GET per domain, one status field back, for any root domain on any TLD. There's no free API tier — you pay per delivered status — but there's no card needed to try the demo first.

Is it really live?

Yes — the check runs against the domain itself, not a stored record. A repeat lookup within 15 minutes reuses the result rather than re-running it, so a status is never more than 15 minutes old.
